The Crozes-Hermitage red wines are made out of Syrah. This variety was introduced in the area before the Roman period. It expresses its best qualities here with the soils and climate favouring this variety.
The Syrah grape variety produces high quality red wines with a great ability to age. With a deep colour and a fantastic range of aromas (violet, chocolate, blackcurrant, spices...), the Crozes-Hermitage red wines are tannic, fine and complex.
The Cave de Clairmont white Crozes-Hermitage wines are made out of Marsanne. This grape variety offers floral and mineral aromas in the young wines. The white Crozes-Hermitage develops honey and hazelnut fragrance during the aging process. The Marsanne wines are fine, rich and elegant.

Chanos-Curson area :
